Mongolia Electronic Visa application system (https://evisa.mn/en) has been put into service from June 1, 2021 within the amendments made to the Law on the Legal Status of Foreign Nationals, reports Immigration Agency of Mongolia (IAM). According to the amendments, this service is designed for foreigners, who want to travel to Mongolia for tourism purposes and for those who need an e-visa from abroad.
In this sense, the list of countries that issue electronic visas (https://evisa.mn/en) has been updated and electronic visas will be issued to citizens of 99 countries. Specifically, citizens of the respective country will be able to apply online for "K2" tourist visas, "K4" class visas for sports and cultural activities of up to 30 days, and "K6" class or transit visas of 10 days.
The updated regulation for the issuance of Mongolian visa was approved through Government resolution no.192 issued in July 2021. The template for the electronic visa and the list of countries whose nationals are eligible for obtaining the visas have been recently approved by a joint order of the Minister of Justice and Home Affairs and the Minister of Foreign Affairs.
The types of e-Visas issued online, and ministerial fees are as follows:
Tourism (valid for 150 days for a 30-day single-entry stay): US $ 51.50
Sports or cultural events (valid for 150 days for a stay of 30 days single entry): US $ 51.50
Transit / Short stay (valid for 150 days for a stay of 10 days single entry): US $ 25.75
The announced delivery time of the e-Visa is 72 hours after submission and payment of a complete application online.
